What is ABBA Voyage?
If you haven’t heard of it already, ABBA Voyage is the place to go if you’re a fan of the Swedish pop icons. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that pushes the boundaries of technology with "Abbatars", holograms that look so real you’ll be mesmerised from start to finish!
As Northerners, Jennie and I always like to make the most of our trips to the Sociability HQ in London. We recently headed to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to see if the purpose-built arena lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: We were not disappointed!
How do you book accessible tickets for ABBA Voyage?
Finding detailed accessibility information before visiting a venue can be a challenge, but the ABBA Voyage team clearly understood the assignment!
Online Booking: Unlike many London venues, you can book accessible tickets directly online. This is a massive win for autonomy.
Companion Tickets: We visited as two wheelchair users and were able to book a companion seat without the usual "one non-disabled person per disabled person" questioning we sometimes face.
Access Requirements: The website provides clear, transparent info on sightlines and seat types, which made the planning process stress-free.

Getting to the ABBA Arena
We used Citymapper to navigate the route. Since we were staying in Central London, we hopped on the DLR to Pudding Mill Lane Station.
Public Transport: Pudding Mill Lane is a fully wheelchair-accessible station with lift access. The arena is located directly opposite the station exit, no long treks or steep hills!
Blue Badge Parking: There are 10 dedicated parking spaces for blue badge holders on-site. These must be booked in advance by emailing the ABBA Voyage team. We recommend doing this as soon as you get your tickets!
Is ABBA Voyage accessible for wheelchair users?
The moment we arrived, we were met by staff members who were ready to assist. They didn't just point the way; they gave us a mini-tour of the facilities en route to our seats.
Arena Facilities:
Level Access: The entire venue is step-free and incredibly easy to navigate.
Changing Places: In addition to standard accessible toilets, the arena features a Changing Places toilet, which is essential for many members of our community.
Ordering Food & Drink: Staff were on hand to help with ordering at the bars, which can get busy during the pre-show rush.
Flexible Seating: There are plenty of accessible seating areas. The staff were able to remove fixed seating for us within minutes to accommodate our wheelchairs perfectly.
Sensory Information & Invisible Disabilities
The show is built around high-intensity holograms, visual effects, and motion-capture technology. If you experience sensory overload or have photosensitive epilepsy, please be aware:
The show features flashing lights and loud, immersive audio.
The arena is spacious, but the "Dance Floor" area can feel crowded.
Sunflower Lanyards: Staff are trained to recognize the Sunflower Lanyard and provide additional support for those with invisible disabilities.

How Accessibility Tech Bridges the Gap
At Sociability, we know that the biggest barrier to a great night out isn’t just a step at the door, it’s the uncertainty of not knowing what’s there before you arrive. That’s why we’ve built a platform where you can find, search, and even add detailed accessibility information for cafes, bars, and restaurants across the UK.
Our mission is to take the stress out of socialising. By providing a place for the community to share verified details, like door widths, toilet layouts, and seating options, we empower everyone to plan their days out with total confidence. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner in a local cafe or a step-free bar for a birthday celebration, Sociability helps you find the space that works for you.
Would you recommend ABBA Voyage?
Overall, we cannot put into words how breathtaking this experience was. It’s a concert like no other. Whether you’re a die-hard ABBA fan or just a fan of incredible tech, this belongs on your bucket list.
We were so impressed with the thought that went into the accessibility, not just the physical environment, but the customer service too. This remains one of the best accessible experiences we’ve ever had in London.
