What is ABBA Voyage?

If you haven’t heard of it already, ABBA voyage is THE place to go if you’re an ABBA fan. It’s a once in a lifetime experience which pushes the boundaries of latest technology and will have you mesmerised from start to finish! Jennie and I always like to make the most of our trips to Sociability HQ as we’re Northerners. So at the end of last year we decided to take a trip to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to see what all the fuss was about and spoiler alert… we were not disappointed!

How do you book accessible tickets for ABBA Voyage?

We were so impressed with the information provided about accessibility on their website. As some may know, finding out about accessibility before visiting somewhere can always be tricky, but it seems like ABBA Voyage really understood the memo and not only provided the information online - but allowed us to book tickets online too. This is such a rarity! We even managed to go as 2 wheelchair users with one of us as a companion which sometimes can cause people to question and request 1 non disabled person per disabled person.

Is ABBA Voyage accessible for wheelchair users?

On the day we were so excited, but we’d also never done the route before so used Citymapper to find our way. We hopped on the DLR to Pudding Mill Station which was wheelchair accessible and quite an easy route from central London! We also know that there are 10 parking spaces available for blue badge holders and this can be booked by emailing the team. When we arrived there were staff already waiting to assist and guide us to our seats whilst giving us a tour of all of the facilities en route. This included, free water, both accessible toilets and changing places as well as staff to assist when ordering food and drinks before, during and after the show. There were plenty of accessible seating areas with the option to quickly remove fixed seating - staff were really helpful with this as they removed a seat for us within minutes as we arrived! The only aspect we would highlight cautiously is that the show is built around holograms and visual effects with motion capture technology so please bear this in mind if you have to consider sensory overload/barriers.

Would you recommend ABBA Voyage?

Overall - I don’t think we can put into words how breathtaking this experience was! It was a concert like no other. Whether you are an ABBA fan or not, this is one to add to your bucket list before the shows cease in November 2023. We were so impressed with all of the thought gone into the accessibility, not just physically but the customer service too. This was certainly one of the best accessible experiences we have both been to - and can’t recommend it enough!
