Hi there!

Welcome to the autumn edition of Beyond Compliance! We hope you've been enjoying the changing leaves, and are managing to stay warm as the temperature drops here in the UK!

As workplaces settle back in after the summer months, now is the perfect opportunity to regroup on accessibility priorities. In particular, we're excited to see a growing focus on hiring more Disabled talent across the board. Crafting products and services that meet a wide range of access needs starts with listening to, and learning from, the lived experiences of Disabled people. The best way to build those perspectives directly into your business is to hire and empower Disabled talent.

As many members of the Disabled community raise challenges with schemes like Access to Work, it's an important reminder that removing barriers to accessibility is a shared responsibility – and that the most inclusive organisations are the ones with Disabled talent already in the room, contributing to each and every strategic conversation.

In this edition of Beyond Compliance, we're proud to share more from our growing interview series with Sociability clients leading the way in disability and inclusion, alongside our own tips and tricks to help you sow the seeds this autumn for lasting cultural change in your workplace.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you! Until then, we hope you enjoy this latest edition of Beyond Compliance!

Cheers,

Matt

At Sociability, we believe that accessibility and inclusion should be core parts of organisational culture and operations year-round. For us IDPwD is not just a one-off day of celebration, but a dedicated moment to take stock of your progress, and put in place a clear plan for improving accessibility in the year to come!
