Sweet & Sour comments are short, subjective experiences shared by users on the Sociability app.

We know that some cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars are more accessible than others and exactly what that means depends on your needs. But even a venue that has great accessible features for you may have a bad attitude, make you feel like you're unwelcome, or they say they have a ramp, but it's made of old wooden pallets!

To capture this, we've introduced a feature on the Sociability app so people can share these experiences. The objective accessibility information for venues is still there, but people can also give their thoughts and feelings by answering whether they think a venue is sweet or sour, and giving a short explanation why.

To keep this space safe and useful, we may remove comments that include any of the following:

1. Personal identifiable information

• Names or descriptions of staff members, managers, or other customers

• Contact details or information that could identify an individual

  
  

2. Factual or legal claims

• Allegations of illegal activity, discrimination, or misconduct

• Statements presented as fact rather than personal experience

  
  

3. Abusive or discriminatory language

• Harassment, threats, or aggressive tone

• Hate speech or discriminatory language of any kind

• Language that targets individuals or groups based on disability or other protected characteristics

  
  

4. Spam or promotions

• Advertising, promotional messages, or repeated submissions intended to promote a business

Comments may be moderated or removed if they don’t follow these rules. Repeated misuse may result in limits on posting.
